Our Leadership
Mr. Prabhakar.M. Bhalerao
Our Guiding Light (1933–2024)
Manoja Sthapatya was founded by the visionary Mr. Prabhakar M. Bhalerao, whose journey in civil engineering began as a Junior Engineer on the prestigious Gangapur Dam project—the longest earthen reservoir in Asia—during his government service.
In 1969, on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, Mr. P. M. Bhalerao took a bold step and, alongside his younger brother Mr. Nayan Bhalerao, started Manoja Sthapatya. The firm’s first project was the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir at Chaphal, and the company’s logo draws inspiration from the Ram idols of Chaphal.
After the untimely passing of his brother in 1984, Mr. P. M. Bhalerao led the company single-handedly until 1995. His nephews, Rahul and Abhay Bhalerao, sons of Nayan Bhalerao, joined him in the business and together they took Manoja Sthapatya to new heights of success.
Mr. Bhalerao remained deeply involved in the company’s operations until his passing in 2024. His leadership, dedication, and forward-thinking approach continue to inspire not just his family but multiple generations within the company and beyond. His contributions have left an indelible mark on Maharashtra’s infrastructure landscape.
